We are no longer accepting applications for the 2026 season.
Applications are due around March 12th each year and are reviewed by internal staff. The apprenticeship start date is dependent on each host farm’s hiring schedule. Apprenticeships typically run from March or April through September or October, depending on the host farm’s needs. Growing Growers Coursework and Farm Tours start as early as March and run through the early fall. Applications for the 2027 season will open on December 1st, 2026.
Tips for the Application Process
We strongly suggest that before applying, you contact your top 2 or 3 host farmers using the contact information on their pages. Let them know what kind of position you are looking for (paid/unpaid), the hours you can work (flexible), and any other important details (e.g., if you are interested in housing). We also recommend attaching a copy of your apprenticeship application when emailing the host farmers so they can get a better idea of who you are.
Of course, you can always submit an application before you have determined your host farmer, and we can work with you to find the best one for your needs! *Submitting an application has no effect on the terms of your work relationship, which is set up independently by you and the host farmer.
