Juniper Gardens Training Farm is a 9-acre site just minutes from downtown Kansas City, KS, and right across the river from Kansas City, MO. The New Roots program is hosted at Juniper Gardens, which helps resettled refugees and new Americans start and operate independent farm businesses that supply healthy produce to feed our community. In addition to New Roots, Juniper has 18 community garden plots, 5 program graduates leasing plots on-site, and a large staff plot.

The New Roots program helps individuals with an agricultural background from their home countries adapt to Kansas City climate and culture while supporting their families.

Our trainee and graduate farmers use organic principles and sell their produce to local restaurants, at farmers’ markets, and through Farm Share subscriptions.
